reading - words
For Barcelona, Seville, Rome or the Balearic Islands, Vueling is often the cheapest airline. Its baggage rules are similar to those of other low cost airlines: a small free bag under the seat, a cabin suitcase optional. Here are the exact dimensions in 2026 so as not to have any unpleasant surprises when boarding.
Vueling cabin baggage: summary

The free small bag: 40 x 30 x 20 cm
Each Vueling passenger can take a small bag of 40 x 30 x 20 cm free of charge: backpack, handbag or satchel. It should fit under the seat in front of you, including pockets and handles. It's the same format as Ryanair, Transavia and Volotea: you only need one bag for all these companies.
The cabin suitcase: 55 x 40 x 20 cm, 10 kg
The suitcase placed in the luggage compartment can measure up to 55 x 40 x 20 cm and weigh 10 kg. Depending on the price chosen, it is included or offered as an option. Check what your ticket includes when booking.
Which bag to choose for Vueling?
A 40 x 30 x 20 cm backpack is the most practical: it passes free to Vueling and to most European low cost airlines. A 40 x 20 x 30 cm bag, mounted in the other direction, fits into the same size. Find all our 40x30x20 bags and suitcases and our cabin backpacks.
Our advice to avoid fees
- Measure the filled bag and check that it does not exceed 20 cm thick.
- Close the extensions of the expandable bags before boarding.
- Prepare your 100 ml liquids in a transparent toiletry bag transparent.
